We’re excited to share new work from photographer and director Sara Morris, who brings her signature blend of technical precision and creative play to this richly atmospheric coffee series.

This striking collection of still life images features coffee beans, dramatic splashes, and close-ups of grounds, all captured through Sara’s distinctive eye for detail and texture. Shot in richly layered brown tones—echoing the natural colours of coffee in all its forms—the series is both visually compelling and deeply evocative. The tonal range, from deep espresso to soft latte and golden crema, allows for subtle contrast and depth while maintaining a cohesive warmth throughout.

As with much of Sara’s work, the series blends artful composition, texture, and motion. Splashes are suspended mid-air, beans tumble from above, and the granular detail of ground coffee adds depth and interest. Close-ups of coffee beans reveal their intricate textures and rich colour, transforming everyday materials into something quietly extraordinary. The simplicity of the colour palette allows the complexity of form, light, and surface to take centre stage.
