Shot over two years and spanning four continents Martin Brent’s long term project ’The Inbetween Places’ has reached its conclusion. His intention is to ‘…challenge the illusion of identity, nation state and artificial borders by reorganising and reframing found scenes, geographically and sometimes chronologically to create new places, sometimes with absurd juxtapositions.’ (Martin Brent – 2020).

‘The Inbetween Places’ title is derived from the feeling Martin gets when he finds and photographs these places. They are neither the beginning or the end of his journeys.

Martin has produced a fabulous hand made limited edition folio book presenting 32 original prints, made by celebrated London bookbinder Cathy Robert. A show will follow once we are clear of the Covid crises.
